Hi everyone! I'm Anna Hust, and have lived in the Prescott area for about 12 years. I was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona but have grown to love everything about Prescott! I go to school full-time and work part-time as a nanny, which I love! I'm in my first semester at NAU in the College of Education on the Prescott campus. I want to continue to go to school after I graduate to obtain my Master's Degree while I'm teaching in my first few years. I am planning on teaching middle school because I feel that while they are at a tough age, I can be a good example to them and help guide them in the right direction for success.
Most of the books I read are unfortunately school books, so I haven't read a great book in a long time! The last book I read that I can recall was "Heaven is for Real", about an amazing little boy who claimed that he saw heaven for real and experienced some amazing stuff. I read this book because I heard from so many people how powerful it was, and now that I've read it, it's definitely one of the most chilling, moving, and touching stories I've ever read! I recommend this book to everyone if you get a chance to read a real book besides our textbooks!
In my free time when I'm not in school, I love spending time with my family, my 8-month old niece, staying active, and being outdoors. I have a 5-lb Yorkie that I spoil and love, and I enjoy baking when I get the chance. My favorite place to visit is Disneyland, and I love sports, and am a huge Phoenix Suns fan, and Arizona Cardinals.
I look forward to getting to know everyone in class and expanding my knowledge in Biology. Good luck to everyone this semester!
It is good to meet you. Welcome to the class! Early on, I intended to teach middle school, and I still think those kids are at the most amazing point in life.
